Hey Everyone, and thank you Kap for that introduction. As mentioned, my name is Ryan Furrer and I am Frontend Engineer currently living in Islip — yeah, out on LAWNGUYLAND.
I’ve transitioned careers twice now — first from Music Education and performance, Violin & Viola. Next was from my time as a procurement specialist in supply chain.
Now here I am, a Frontend Engineer.
Music and programming have a lot of similarities in mind, and one of the things that pulled me towards the frontend side of things is the creativity I can have been designing and building out UIs. I want to talk today about building yourself an “Essential Design System” to help get your projects up and running faster.
A design system is a collection of reusable components and guidelines that ensure consistency and efficiency in designing and building digital products. It's a single source of truth for your UI.
